Steps to take for prospective buyers:

  • Determine your budget (including stamp duty and fees, etc.).
  • Seek mortgage and financial advice (if required).
  • Find your new home.
  • Make an offer.
  • If accepted, instruct your solicitor.
  • Apply for your mortgage (if required) immediately.
  • Arrange a survey (if required).
  • Liaise regularly with your solicitor and estate agent.
  • Exchange contracts and pay deposit.
  • Congratulations, your sale is complete!
