Our service

We hold regular auction sales of antiques, furnishings and effects including silver jewellery, china, art, books and general household goods, at Preston Patrick Memorial Hall, Crooklands, near Kendal, which is on the A65 approximately half a mile from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway.

Our sales are recommended for their friendly and informal atmosphere and are attended by private collectors, dealers and home owners from all parts of the country.

Our sales are held on Wednesdays and the dates are given below. Viewing is on the Tuesday from 2pm until 6pm and on the morning of the sale from 8am. The auction commences at 11am prompt.

With effect from January 2007 a buyers premium of 10% plus VAT is payable on all lots purchased.

Buying process:

If you intend buying any items at the auction sale you MUST register your name, address and telephone number with us on the day of the sale. You will be given a number on a card which you must keep as you will be able to reuse it for future sales.

When your selected items come for sale make sure your bids are seen by the auctioneer. If you are successful hold your card up and the auctioneer will note your number.

When you have finished bidding you must pay for your goods on the day of the sale before you collect your items. You may pay in cash or by cheque with a bank guarantee card.

All purchased goods must be removed by 6pm on the day of the sale.

We offer an absentee bidding service to regular and known clients.
