Colin Tomlinson FRICS FAAV: Managing Director
Colin has been with the company since 1977. He is a qualified Land Agent, Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Fellow of the Association of Agricultural Valuers and an Auctioneer. He specialises in sales, including auctions of rural property, valuations for all purposes, all aspects of agricultural and land agency work, land and estate management, compensation claims, including pipelines and roadways, Landlord and Tenant disputes and arbitrations. Based at the Head Office in Kendal.
Graham Iles BSc(Est Man) MRICS: Director
Graham qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1984 and has over 30 years experience in residential and commercial agency. He carries out professional valuations for a wide range of purposes including sale and purchase, lettings, taxation, probate and matrimonial. He runs and conducts the regular Antique Auction Sales held at Preston Patrick Memorial Hall, near Kendal. Originally from Southport, Graham joined the company in January 2003 and is based at the Head Office in Kendal.
Sue Tomlinson: Director
Sue, wife of Colin Tomlinson and Director, has been involved with Michael C L Hodgson for many years. Since moving to larger premises in April 2007 she has become Practice Manager, actively involved with all operational aspects of the Practice.
Helen Cornthwaite: Property Manager
Helen has worked in Residential Property Sales and Letting Management since 1986, when she began working for a local firm of residential and commercial estate agents. She went on to manage a property department for 16 years and joined Michael C.L. Hodgson in October 2006 in order to look after their busy Grange Office, overseeing their existing property sales and rentals portfolio, providing market appraisals for sale and rental, listing new homes for sale, and providing general advice.
Helen Leach: Office Manager & P.A
With over 20 years experience in office management, Helen joined the company in 2004. She is responsible for the overall running of the day to day management of the offices, as well as the Personal Assistant to Colin Tomlinson. Based at the Head Office in Kendal.
Stephen Buckingham BSc(Hons) PGDip.Surv: Land Agent
Stephen joined the firm in 2009, after moving from his home town in the Midlands. He is studying towards being a Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer and deals with Estate Management, compensation claims and rentals, as well as assisting Colin with valuations, sales and tenancy disputes.
